HOB’s management team is composed of people who came from Multi-National Corporations and entrepreneurship, returnees from overseas and local talent who really knows the local rules.

John Li: President and CEO. John finished his graduate study in managerial economics from the Ohio State University in 1990. He worked for multi-national corporations such as Alcon Labs (www.alcon.com), Black and Decker (www.blackanddecker.com) and Brady (www.bradycorp.com) in executive positions before he founded HOB. Under his leadership, HOB has grown to the market leader in China in the market that the company competes.

Kevin Wang: Chief Operations Officer. Kevin joined HOB as salesperson in northern China in 1996. He has held sales manager, sales director, and VP Operations positions at HOB before he became the COO of the company in 2007. Kevin has a profound understanding of the China market. He has more than 20 years of experience in the sales /marketing area in China’s medical markets. He has also gained rich experience in the operations management since the company started its own manufacturing in 2006. Kevin holds a bachelor degree from Beijing Union University, and an MBA from CEIBS.  

Dr. Jerry Li: Chief Technology Officer. Jerry received his BS degree from Beijing University in 1992, majored in Biology, and his PhD degree from Duke University in 1998 in the field of Biochemistry. He then worked in the biotech and pharmaceutical industry in the US, with the most recent experience at Orphagen Pharmaceuticals（www.orphagen.com）, where he successfully developed novel compounds for auto-immune diseases. Jerry received research fund （1X01MH077624）from NTH.  As a key member of the HOB’s executive team, Jerry built up a successful R&D operation with his talent and scientific abilities. And he plays a vital role for HOB’s prosperous future.

Michelle Wu: Vice President, Product Management. Michelle had been in charge of product management and regulatory affairs at HOB since 1999. She graduated from Beijing Medical University; now part of Beijing University, majored in Preventive Medicine. She joined HOB when the company just started, and developed her career as HOB grows into one of the biggest IVD companies in China. In addition to the product management, she oversees the important regulatory affair. She plays a pivotal role in the fast development and growth of HOB.
